Faith That Endures | Mark 11:20-26

Prior to our text today, Jesus had cursed a fig tree and the disciples have discovered that it has completely withered up and died. Peter brought attention to the withered fig tree which launches Jesus into a teaching regarding faith, prayer and the inevitable tests that they will all face. We can easily see that this teaching was not only important for them but is entirely meaningful for us today as we seek to follow Jesus with all of our hearts.

Nothing But Leaves | Mark 11:12-21 | Pastor Ben Dixon

As we have studied the book of Mark, we have seen very clearly that human beings have a tendency to take what God gives and make it something entirely different. There are many reasons for why this happens but the end result is a fruitless and even harmful form of religion that misrepresents God’s heart and misleads many who truly want to know Him. In our passage today we get a clear picture of just how far things can go and what Jesus thinks about it and how He responds to it.

Freedom From Church Hurt

Regardless of the level of emotional pain, the wounds of church hurt are healed through the family of God when we love well, seek unity, and long to know Jesus more. God’s Kingdom on earth happens through the body of Christ, as Paul tells us in Ephesians 4, “…we attain the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son.”

The King That We Need | Mark 11:1-12

We know from studying the Gospel of Mark that all of Israel is waiting for their King to come. However, they are mistaken about HOW He will come, which resulted in disbelief, confusion, and misunderstanding Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem in Mark 11:1-12. Jesus was doing exactly what was needed because He was and is the King that we long for.

Hunger For God

We must ask ourselves this crucial question: are we hungry for God? God longs for us to posture ourselves to receive the revival He has promised. We need God more than we think we do.

Reclaiming Our Biblical Identity

With new obstacles in life, we can begin to question who we are as well as God’s faithfulness to us. As we declare our dependence upon Him through worship, prayer, and testimonies we will experience His unending faithfulness to us and be able to refocus our identity on whose we are rather than what we do.

Pursuing the Voice of God

As followers of Jesus we should be marked by a pursuit of His voice above all others’. To pursue God’s voice means that we consistently ask God for His counsel, direction, and plan concerning our lives. God is often waiting for us to invite Him into the decisions of our lives so that we follow His will and trust that His plan is what’s best for us.

Hearing God’s Voice and The Bible

The Bible is the rulebook by which we live, and the voice of the Holy Spirit gives us direction within that framework. Pastor Ben Dixon teaches on hearing God's voice within the Bible and in our personal lives.

Healing For Our Blindness | Mark 10:46-52

The Bible uses blindness as a metaphor for our spiritual condition and at the same time, it proclaims Jesus as the one who opens blind eyes. In this message, Pastor Ben Dixon teaches from Mark 10:46-52 that the truth is that we all are blind to something but the good news is that Jesus can heal any form of blindness as we seek Him wholeheartedly.
