In the beginning of the book of Acts, we see that the Holy Spirit was poured out and the Church began to move in the power and leading of the Holy Spirit. In Acts chapter 4, Peter and John were dragged into the temple courts to be questioned after praying for and seeing a paralyzed man healed in the name of Jesus. In the face of this persecution, the church turns to prayer. Instead of being filled with fear, they asked God to give them confidence and boldness to continue to proclaim the Gospel. As followers of Jesus today, we are still called to reach out to others with boldness. Let’s pray that God would embolden us to be his witnesses!

Jesus did far more than teach His disciples information—He intentionally shaped their hearts. Throughout the Gospels, we observe how Jesus constantly formed the way they saw people, responded to brokenness, understood the mission of God, and engaged the world around them. In Matthew chapter 9, Jesus used a powerful moment with the crowds to shape His disciples into people who would eventually carry His heart and continue His ministry. In this message, we will look at how Jesus still shapes His followers today to see what He saw, feel what He felt, know what He knew, and pray what He prayed!

Acts chapter 10 records a powerful turning point in the spread of the Gospel as God opens the door for the Gentiles to hear and receive the message of Jesus Christ. Although Peter already knew the mission of Jesus, there were still perspectives and assumptions in him that needed to change. Yet it was Peter’s posture before God in prayer that positioned him to hear from God and ultimately see people differently. This message explores how our posture before God shapes our perspective of people and ultimately influences the way we reach out to the world around us.

Most Christians would say they love God—but reaching people often feels harder, less natural, and sometimes even uncomfortable. Why is that? Jesus never separated those two realities. He called us to love God with everything and to go and make disciples. When those are disconnected, faith becomes either inward and passive or outward and forced. But when they come together, reaching people becomes a clear and compelling part of following Jesus. This message lays the foundation for understanding both the heart and the mission behind reaching people.

Have you ever felt discouraged? Where does discouragement come from and what leads us to this place? The rebuilding of the temple in the Old Testament shows us how discouragement often grows from the pressures we face and the way we perceive our situation. This often delays where God is wanting to take us and what He wants our lives to look like. How do we rebuild from a place of discouragement? We find that encouragement is found in God's presence and promises. Let's re-center our hearts on Christ together!

Repentance is one of the most essential practices of the Christian life. Many people think of it as a one-time moment or simply feeling sorry for sin, but Scripture reveals something much deeper. Repentance is a turning of the heart and life toward God that not only begins our relationship with Him but continues to shape it daily. In this message, we’ll define what repentance truly is, clear up common misconceptions, explore how it functions in both salvation and ongoing spiritual growth, and walk through a simple, biblical process for practicing repentance as followers of Jesus.Speaker: Pastor Ben DixonSeries: The Practices of the FaithConnect Card - https://nwc.churchcenter.com/people/forms/118663 Northwest Church - www.nwcfoursquare.org "On mission with Jesus to see the lost saved and disciples made."

What does it really mean to be the church—and why does gathering together even matter anymore in our modern times? We live in a culture that has deeply influenced us to view the church as an option when it’s convenient for us, but Scripture calls us to something much deeper. We are not just individuals with a personal faith, but a people who belong to Jesus Christ and are called to gather around Him. When we gather together, we step into one of the primary ways God shapes our lives, and today we are going to explore what that really means.

Death is the one enemy every person will face. It does not care who you are, what you believe, or how you live — it comes for everyone. Every funeral, every hospital room, every tear at a graveside reminds us that something is wrong with our world. But Easter is the announcement that death does not win. Jesus did not just come to teach us how to live — He came to confront death, defeat death, and offer life to all who believe in Him. This Easter, we invite you to join us as we discover the hope of the resurrection and the life-changing truth that because Jesus lives, death is not the end of our story.

People who respond to God's salvation by confessing Jesus as Lord are transformed by God's grace into a new person. Our personal salvation should empower us to have relationship with others. We see that the primary fruit of a believers faith is how they relate to others, and how they integrate into the gathering of God's people. The church is the means by which God is restoring His purposes for human life which were lost due to the fall. Christian community displays God's transforming power and love to the world through the love, acceptance and shared life of His people.
